Admissions Process

We aim to make the Admissions process as friendly and straightforward as possible. The Registrar, Mrs Jan Kemp, is happy to answer questions and discuss your application to Caldicott. Please contact her on 01753 649301 or email her on [email protected].

Parents can register with Caldicott at any time. This is generally at least three years prior to entry, although many do so much earlier, and some later. The only commitment at this stage is the payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of £100.

The main points of entry to Caldicott are Year 3 (aged 7) and Year 4 (aged 8).  Subject to availability of places, boys can join in Year 7 (aged 11) as full boarders for two years in preparation for senior school.  Spaces are occasionally available in other year groups; please contact the Registrar with any enquiries.

From September 2018, boys also have the option to join the Boarding House in Year 6, places permitting.

Please download the Registration form here.

In the September before entry, your son will be invited to attend the Caldicott Assessment Morning and a report will also be requested from your son’s current school.  The aim of the Assessment Morning is to ensure that boys will be able to cope with the Caldicott curriculum.

Arrange a visit

Prospective pupils and their families are always welcome to visit the school on an individual basis to look round on a normal school day. You will be shown around the school by 6th Form boys and have the opportunity to meet the Headteacher or another member of the Senior Team. Please contact the Registrar to book.

Open Days

Attending an Open Morning is a great way to find out about life at Caldicott. During the morning you will have the opportunity to look around the school with your son and meet staff on an informal basis.

Our next Open Morning will be held on Saturday 9 June, 1000 - 1200. To book your place, please click here to open the booking form.
