09 July 2021

Thank you so much for all your support in the course of this term. It has been so lovely to read kind messages from you about your positive views on our approach this year, this term and over the course of the last week of term. We have been tested, there have been bumps in the road and yet, as I reflect, I am humbled in the knowledge that you bought into the priorities we set. This approach made life much easier and what I will take from the pandemic is that various ‘action points’ and ‘to do lists’ can be slashed right down when we are all aligned with clear priorities.

As I said in my Prize Giving speech, I am so sorry that you did not all get the chance to be on site on Wednesday, so all energy is now focused on September. I’ll not repeat my message from last week’s blog, but I will assure you all that the Caldicott that is emerging into a post pandemic landscape is in very good shape. The new staff will had great expertise and character, the school roll is up on the year before and the brand is as appealing as ever. Caldicott must be traditional, yet relevant, as well as being a place where each boy’s journey is carefully crafted in our unique way.

Have a great summer.
