Sports Day 2021

02 July 2021

Our Sports Day was a great success! Last Friday, all the boys in the school got involved in an event that never fails to encapsulate that feeling of togetherness at Caldicott – combined with a healthy dose of friendly competition, of course.

Credit goes to Mr Williams and Mr Hutchings for organising the occasion, but thanks should also go to the Grounds Team and the teachers who have all willingly taken up whistles and stopwatches to ensure the day ran smoothly.

Every single boy was involved, taking part in a minimum of two events, but a maximum of six. It is a day where House camaraderie really comes into its own; every event contributes to that all important House total which results in 6th Form boys cheering wildly for their 1st Form Housemates in their 75m Races. When the final results came in, the whole House was overjoyed to hear that McArthur had won the day. As McArthur House Captain, Arthur proudly collected the trophy from Mr Banks and held it aloft to cheers from the parents, boys and staff.

While it is unfortunate that we could only invite Leavers’ parents to Sports Day this year, we hope that everyone else enjoyed watching Mr Brown’s masterfully orchestrated livestream from the comfort of their homes. Indi (Y8) was our photographer for the day, and as you can see below, got some great shots of his peers.
