Congratulations to our Three New Harrow Scholars

29 April 2021

We are very excited to share the news that three more of our 6th Formers have secured Academic scholarships at Harrow for next year. Over the past few weeks, a number of our boys have secured scholarships in schools across the country, and now BS, TH, and BS's names can be added to that list.

Talking to the boys makes it clear how much this means to them. Ben S (pictured far left), who has been at Caldicott since 2nd Form, only received the good news from Ma’am Naidoo a day before returning to school last week (his A in Geography sealed the deal); he is very relieved with the timing as it means he came back to school with a spring in his step. Ben didn’t deny that it required an incredible amount of work to achieve this result, and is grateful to all of his teachers and in the case of revision timetables and techniques, Ma’am Naidoo, who really helped push him over the line.

Tony H (pictured in the middle) couldn’t wait to tell his friends Alex and Anthony (also Caldicott 6th Formers) when Ma’am Naidoo rang him with the exciting news. Talking about the exams and preparation, he says he owes the achievement to setting hard, but achievable goals. He is very eager to meet his new classmates in Harrow, and is particularly curious if any of his current peers joining the school will share lessons with him.

Ben S (pictured far right) has two older brothers, one who is at Harrow now, and one who already graduated; so, for him Harrow was always his number one choice. It is gratifying to hear that, despite the preparation taking up a lot of his time, Ben said he wouldn’t have done it if he didn’t find it interesting and genuinely enjoy learning more about the subjects he was studying. While he will miss his friends at Caldicott, he knows that they are now used to staying in touch despite not being able to see each other in person!

Congratulations to all three boys for their achievement owed to an incredible work ethic, especially over the last few months.
