Ma'am Barratt, Our New Head of 1st Form, on Her Start at Caldicott

21 April 2021

With this Summer Term being her first term at Caldicott, Ma’am Barratt can’t wait to get to know her new class better and immerse herself in the Caldicott community. Ma’am Barratt’s teaching philosophy involves being adaptable to ensure she can get the most out of each and every boy. Another passion of hers is instilling every child in her class with a strong foundation of confidence which will set them up to succeed throughout their years at Caldicott and beyond.

When asked what drew her to Caldicott, after nine years at her previous school in London, Ma’am Barratt attributed it to a number of factors. The resources that Caldicott has at its disposal, with excellent facilities including the science labs, swimming pool and expansive grounds, were a major draw. Ma’am Barratt also believes that she will form a mutually rewarding relationship with her colleagues, by drawing on their extensive experience, and contributing with her own unique experience and insight.

Fundamentally, she can’t wait to get started as the newest member of the Lower School team; her passion and commitment shines through, and she is sure to foster a culture of curiosity and maintain that love for learning our boys have.
