Talking Sports: Martin Heys, PGA Golf Professional

03 March 2021

Over the past few weeks the Sports department has been working tirelessly to provide the Caldicott community with interviews from various figures in the sporting world. So far, we've been fortunate enough to hear from James Gaunt (DoS at Radley), Greg Hobson (youth cricket coach in SA), David Seymour (ex-professional Rugby player), Emily Blagden (world record holder in rowing) and Johann Myburgh (ex- Professional Cricketer) These impressive people from the sporting world have provided us a unique insight across the board; this week we have another figure providing a different perspective.

This week Mr Robinson has spoken to someone many of you will know, Martin Heys, who has provided golf lessons at Caldicott for a few years, with a very well-respected background in golf backing him up; for years he has coached many in the sport, from new golfers to Tour players. He has been a PGA Golf Professional for over 30 years, and so his insight in the sport is second to none. Click here to visit his coaching website. Also, as mentioned in this interview, here is a link to Meghan Maclaren's website (https://megmaclaren.com/), a golfer he worked closely with, and a brilliant writer about the game.
