County Cricket Success for Caldicott Pupils

Caldicott is proud to announce that the following boys have successfully gained places in county cricket teams for their age groups.

  • Sebastian S – Buckinghamshire U10
    Sebastian is a talented all-rounder who has had a successful season at Caldicott that has seen him promoted to play up a year in the U11A team. He is an exciting prospect and thoroughly deserves his selection for Buckinghamshire where no doubt he will go from strength to strength.
  • Edward M - Buckinghamshire U12
    Edward is a talented wicket-keeper batsman who has gone from strength to strength this season. Having started the season in the 2nd XI, he has since been promoted to the 1st XI where he often finds himself batting in the top five. He is a tidy wicket-keeper who has a good understanding of the game. Edward has been representing Buckinghamshire for the past two years.
  • James C – Buckinghamshire U12
    James is an exciting young leg spin bowler who has had an excellent season in the 1st XI having already taken 18 wickets. He has been representing Buckinghamshire since he was 10 years old and has a bright future ahead of him.
  • Luke LS – Middlesex U12
    Luke is an extremely accurate and economical left arm bowler whose main strength is his ability to swing the ball into the right-handed batsman. He has been one of the leading wicket takers this season and has an exciting career ahead of him. He has also developed into a very solid batsman and will very useful in the top order in the future.
  • Buster R – Buckinghamshire U13
    Buster has been a major contributor for the 1st XI with both bat and ball. He is an attacking off spin bowler who is able to generate a good amount of turn and bounce. He is also an attacking batsman who is starting to understand the importance of being patient and building an innings.
  • Luke H – Gloucestershire U13
    Luke is our captain of cricket this season and he has led from the front both with the bat and the ball. He has taken 20 wickets this season and scored well over 200 runs. He is an economical left arm bowler who achieved the rare feat of getting his name on the honours board in the Main Pavilion for taking figures of 6-9.
