Run, Bike Swim for Charity

07 June 2019

In May, a number of Caldicott boys took part in the Flight Centre Schools Triathlon at Marlborough College. Although the weather wasn’t perfect, every child that took part swam, rode their bike and ran their hearts out in their teams. The day was great fun and it was lovely to see such brilliant team spirit.

Caldicott entered 14 teams with 63 boys taking part from a variety of year groups. The boys raised an incredible £10,054.73 between them and this will be split between Restless Development and our school charity – Great Lakes Outreach. A special mention goes to Caldicott Chicken Nuggets and The Tri-Ceratops who went above and beyond with their fundraising!

With this support, Restless Development can make sure young people around the world are leaders in changing things for the better. Thanks to your hard work, Restless Development is able to help young people gain access to education, start their own businesses and protect themselves against diseases. For experiences from their work, read Bosco's story - a young man from Uganda who has been supported to build a successful farming business.

Restless Development said ‘We believe that young people, like this years group of courageous young triathletes, are united in striving for a safe, sustainable, fair world for everyone, and together we can achieve it - thank you for your support.’

Well done to all the boys that took part, this is an incredible amount with more fundraising to come in. We are already looking forward to next year’s event.
