A Drama Showcase

23 May 2019

Over the years, Caldicott's Drama provision has gone from strength to strength. The school introduced LAMDA classes a few years ago as an optional activity for the boys. This year the Caldicott welcomed a specialist LAMDA teacher, Ella Ferdenzi to the Performing Arts team. With her expertise and dedication, the boys' skills and enthusiasm are only growing.

This week, Caldicott’s budding thespians shared a selection of theatrical performances in the annual Drama Showcase. These pieces were performed by those boys studying for their upcoming LAMDA exams, as well as two pieces devised during the Easter Drama Camp.

The performances were:

It was a wonderful evening highlighting just some of the excellent acting talent from the boys at Caldicott. Their performances were hugely entertaining, amusing and thought provoking.

As well as the onstage talent, the backstage crew transitioned the scenes seamlessly, making sure the evening ran smoothly and professionally.

Huge thanks go to Head of Drama, Jo Duncan, and LAMDA teacher, Ella Ferdenzi, who has worked tirelessly and helped with the boys this term. We wish them the best of luck in their upcoming exams.
