28 March 2019

Many thanks for your support in the course of this busy term. For some parents, the annual anticipation of the cricket season is becoming palpable, and with quad cricket being the focus for many boys at break time once again, they feel the same! The cricket nets are being refurbished, so this will once again give the boys the best possible facilities in which they can develop their skills.

It has been busy right to the end of term including the wonderful Junior Lego League, a robotics competition hosted by Caldicott last Saturday for our boys and children from other schools. I was introduced to the term ‘coopertition’ which I know is a term that may make one or two of you shudder, but it really was a morning where robotics was the winner! My enormous thanks to Mr Bennett for organising the event and to the 6thFormers who led a number of the activities.

When the online diary is finalised next week and the paper versions return from the printers, please do take a moment to look carefully as there has been some re-ordering of Summer Term events: The House Swimming Competition is on the afternoon of Friday 24 May; Sports Day is all day on Friday 21 June and the Friends’ Summer Party is the evening of Saturday 29 June. (There are no matches that day).

It has been a fantastic term and the boys have done us all proud. They now deserve a well-earned rest! As ever I will write to you just before the new term begins. With Easter being so late, please remember that either the School Office or Bursary will be open most of the holidays, but the school will be shut on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Have a great Easter break!

Jeremy Banks
