24 November 2018

There were some tired boys at Chapel this morning and plenty of rest & relaxation is needed over the course of this long weekend. Tuesday morning’s assembly was a particular highlight for me this week at which eight Superstar awards, 34 Highly Commended and 30 prizes for achieving more than 30 pluses were given out. Furthermore, our U10A team won the ‘Spirit of the Game’ award at a recent tournament, and the cast of My Fair Lady led a ‘flash mob’ to promote their upcoming production. The assembly was a triumph of excellence, participation, and inclusivity setting everyone up for a cheerful start to the day.

My own week has been dominated by visits to senior schools. With Eton on Tuesday, The Oratory on Thursday and Radley today. It was great to speak with the key figures from those schools about transfer. It was lovely to see some old boys too. In different ways, and for the right child, all three schools have so much to offer, and it leads me to remind the parents of the 3rd Form that I would welcome a discussion about future schools before the Senior Schools Event in the new year.

Have a good weekend.
