Caldicott Summer Fete 2018

16 June 2018

The annual Caldicott Summer Fete, now in its 50th year, was once again a fantastic event for the whole school community.  The sun made an appearance and everyone was in good spirits raising money for this year’s chosen charity “Molly Olly’s Wishes”.

Chosen by the Charity Committee, “Molly Olly’s Wishes” supports children with terminal or life-threatening illnesses and their families, and helps with their emotional well-being.  The charity grants individual wishes and donates therapeutic toys and books to both children directly, and to hospitals throughout the UK.

This year’s theme was “Around the World in 80 Days”. All boys, staff and family members were able to take part in a variety of activities from sponge the teacher, eating doughnuts on a string to zorbing. There was also a variety of food stalls with delicious cakes and chocolate fountains on offer.

The boys did a remarkable job devising their stalls, setting up and successfully raising a fantastic amount of money for charity.  The final total was £2281!
