Caldicott Ski Trip 2018

11 January 2018

Over the Christmas break, 40 boys from the 4th and 5th Forms travelled to Les Menuires in the French Alps for a week of skiing.

After an eventful journey, the group arrived at their hotel on Sunday morning.  Once they had enjoyed a hearty lunch they headed straight out onto the slopes where they enjoyed a huge amount of fresh powder to play in, learn and improve their ski skills.

The boys managed to ski every day of their trip in every weather condition imaginable.  By the end of the week, the beginners had progressed to parallel turns and the advanced skiers were tackling the more challenging runs.  The boys demonstrated tremendous levels of resilience during the poor conditions and were rewarded on the final day with beautiful sunshine and blue skies.

In the evenings the group participated in a number of après ski activities including games nights, bum-boarding, igloo making and plenty of trips to the shops – all of which kept them very busy.
