Battersea Dogs and Cats

26 February 2017

Next term, Jenkins House will be organising a sponsored dog walk to raise money for Battersea Dogs and Cats home in Windsor. On Friday 24 February, boys from Jenkins visited the home to take a closer look at how the charity works and to take with them toys and treats which were kindly donated by boys and parents.

The boys were given a guided tour of the kennels and cattery by the brilliant staff who were able to provide them with a detailed history of each animal. They heard how many of the animals who arrive at Battersea have come from poor conditions, but with the help of staff and volunteers, have been nursed back to health and ready to find a new home.

The boys found the experience very interesting and are looking forward to raising as much as they can to support this worthwhile charity.
