Caldicott Athletics Meeting

05 May 2016

The Caldicott Sport Twitter feed got a bit hot under the collar during Tuesday's Athletics’ Meeting when the golds kept on coming and no sooner had we heard about one, then another top result came in!  All our athletes deserve a huge pat on the back for their exemplary performances into which they put 100% effort, reaping the rewards with a convincing overall victory.

The first athlete on the notable winner’s rostrum was E. Mercer who won the 600m and set a new Caldicott record of 2.04.91; this was swiftly followed by a first place in the Long Jump! Our captain of athletics R. White led the way and retained his reputation for success by winning the 100m and Shot Put, setting a new Caldicott record in the latter event with a distance of 12.42m.

An exciting day down at the track with boys from Summer Fields, Papplewick, Ludgrove, Elstree and Horris Hill competing. Thanks to Mr Lane and his team of staff for putting on an excellent early season meeting.
