Trinity Music Exam Success

06 June 2019

The drum and percussion teaching department have been working very hard to progress the techniques and skills of the boys who study drum kit as a formal structured musical instrument. Just before half term, the music department held their first ever Trinity College London Exam Board visit, with seven boys sitting their Drum Kit exams. Head of Performing Arts, James Wild, is delighted to report that the boys achieved excellent results; one pass, one merit and five distinctions! Well done to all these boys, and their teachers, for such outstanding exam performances. It was great to hear the examiner comment as he left on a ‘very well prepared group of students’.

The results:

  • Drum Kit Grade 1
    • James C (5th Form) | Merit
    • Freddie M (5th Form) | Distinction
    • Freddie B (4th Form) | Distinction
    • Faris M (3rd Form) | Distinction
  • Drum Kit Grade 3
    • Eddie M (5th Form) | Pass
    • Leo T (4th Form) | Distinction
  • Drum Kit Grade 5
    • Archie W (5th Form) | Distinction

The department still has more exams coming up this term. Good luck to all those boys sitting their ABRSM grade exams on Monday 17 June. Practice and thorough preparation is the key.
