Caldicott was delighted to see lots of customers at the Bright Young Sparks Market day on Monday 6 March in the Sports Hall.
Bright Young Sparks aims to instil an entrepreneurial mind-set into children from a young age. The programme gives an introduction to business and money management using fun and engaging activities.
Boys have been taking part in the project during the Autumn Term with the scheme culminating in a buzzing market day. There were many businesses being represented selling a variety of items from delicious juices, marshmallows, cookies, flapjacks, brownies, and cupcakes to amazing cacti, graffiti posters, stationery, and a ball stall. All those running businesses thoroughly enjoyed themselves and definitely learnt how the retail industry works.
The Bright young Sparks programme has been a fantastic way for the boys to learn new skills whilst stretching their imagination and talents. The school will be running the scheme again next academic year.
