Just before the Easter holidays the 2nd Form went on an exciting trip to PGL. Here's what they had to say about it:
On Monday 21st April, the 2nd form set off on the coach with all of our luggage to Marchants Hill in Surrey for our PGL trip. We couldn’t wait to finally get there to settle into our dorms and begin our action-packed day of activities.
After we had arrived and had our lunch, we set off together to Echo Valley where we were actually told to be as loud as possible by our instructor. This was already looking a lot better than school!
We were then split into groups. We had different activities each day, not including breakfast, lunch and dinner of course. We got to take part in archery, zip lining, abseiling, orienteering, low ropes, and last but not least the Powerfan, which was probably the highlight. This involved racing each other up a 15m wooden pole and jumping off.
When all of the activities were finished, it was time to head back to our dorms. It was great to unwind after such an exhausting day, and to not have to worry about our mums nagging us.
At night time, we played hide and seek in the woods, which was a lot of fun. We were split into two teams and had to take it in turns to hide amongst the trees on one another. We had to stay as still as we could and make as little noise as possible so that the other team wouldn’t spot us which was actually quite tricky!
On the second evening, we had a Film Night. Some of us were so tired that we fell asleep during this! It was good to just relax and recharge our batteries for the next day.
Finally, it was time to wave goodbye to all of the people at PGL and to make our way back to school just in time for the Easter holidays. All in all it was a brilliant trip with lots of lasting memories made, and we hope you enjoy looking at some of our pictures.
