Sports Day 2017

03 July 2017

There was a lot of excitement on Saturday morning as we held our annual Sports Day.  The sun was shining and there was plenty of encouragement and competition on show as all boys took part in a number of events.  These included a range of sprint, middle distance and relay races, as well as long jump, discus, high jump and javelin in the field events.

As well as the main Athletics competition, this year we also held the first “Caldicott Olympics”; boys who were not competing in the main event were still able to win points for their Houses by jumping, throwing and running.  The day culminated with the much anticipated Tug of War final.

The final result saw Jenkins House take home the Sports Day Trophy with an impressive 346 points. McArthur came in second with 344, Cooper in third on 323 and Wood in Fourth with 273 points.

It was a fantastic morning of sport and bringing the whole school community together. All boys impressed on the track and field with their enthusiasm and spirit of competition.
