Create a Country

14 June 2017

On the morning of Wednesday 14 June, 6th Form boys were split into groups and asked to create their own country.

They needed to come up with a name for their country, draw a map that showed cities, mountain ranges, deserts, transport links etc. They also needed to design a flag and explain their reasoning, decide what type of government the country will have and compose a national anthem.

The boys spent the morning creating and deliberating.  Not only did they discuss the main criteria of their country, but also expanded to create national sports, birds and even trade agreements between neighbouring countries.

Before lunch, the boys were given the opportunity to present their creations to their peers and a group of judges.  Winners will be announced soon.
