Releasing Butterflies

18 May 2017

This term the 2nd Form have been learning about the life cycle in their Science lessons.  For the past few weeks the boys have been nurturing caterpillars which have then turned into chrysalides and then into butterflies.

This week the boys were able to release the butterflies into the school grounds, which they were very excited to take part in.

Releasing butterflies has become a very important project for the boys to learn the fundamentals of life and promote environmental awareness.  Not only did it help the boys understand nature but it also helps them to appreciate the creatures and understand the part they play in the environment.
