Teenagers Translated

22 February 2017

Before half term, 5th and 6th Form boys had the opportunity to listen to Janey Downshire from Teenagers Translated. She visited Caldicott to talk to the boys about becoming well-rounded, responsible individuals and having the courage to make the right choices in life.

She went through a number of topics about what makes you, you and how to build resilience whilst growing up.  The boys learnt about how to manage their behaviour and understand how the brain works in different situations, which can help them understand how they are feeling and how to handle that emotion properly.

This was part of the boys PSHE studies and was complemented by a talk to parents in the evening. This talk covered many aspects of being a teenager today and how to help children handle growing up effectively.
