The First Form welcomed a visitor from the charity ActionAid today who led a workshop about the small Indian Village, Chemabakolli and the Adivasi people that live there. The boys have been learning about this small rural village as part of their India topic in geography.
Sarah, our visitor has been to Chembakolli so was able to answer all of our questions and she also brought along lots of artefacts for us to explore. The boys especially enjoyed dressing up in traditional clothes, playing with handmade instruments and balancing bowls of water on their head!
The perfect finale was a tea party where the boys were able to taste tea actually grown by the Adivasi people in the land surrounding Chembakolli.
