NEWS

  • The Sledgehammers crush the Warriors who were top of the table last week to move up, whilst the Tornadoes also make it 2 wins out of 2 to move to the top in a thrilling match against the Barbarians who were unlucky to lose. GX gain their first win of the season to move into the top half of the table. The Devils bowling looks good as they picked up 7 wickets, but they need to score more runs to get their first victory.

  • At the end of round 5 the top 4 teams move forward into the play offs. This means that all 6 teams have a chance of making this cut-off point. Even though the teams in 5th and 6th place are behind the others, if they start to win their games and score lots of runs and take lots of wickets they can still qualify – remember that 13 points are available in each match. Have a look at the separate notice to see how you can gain maximum points in a match.

  • N Cheung confirms he is one of the leading all rounders in CPL this season with 3 wickets and 19* for the Tornadoes.

  • O Elgendy, C Hanberry, G Green and J Beardsworth all hit 20

  • C Rushton enjoys a magical debut for the Devils with 4 wickets.
